Lancashire at UKREiiF 2026

Lancashire will take its place at the centre of the UK’s investment conversation at UKREiiF 2026 as the Lancashire Combined County Authority (LCCA) brings Invest in Lancashire to stand J20.

From aerospace and advanced manufacturing to nuclear energy, cyber, innovation, high tech and AI, the industries shaping the UK’s future economy are already rooted in Lancashire.

Built on generations of industrial strength and innovation, Lancashire is home to a £40 billion economy and a pipeline of projects with the potential to unlock more than £20 billion in investment over the next decade.

Today, Lancashire is helping power the UK’s national priorities in defence, energy security, advanced engineering and digital technology, combining globally recognised industrial capability with major opportunities for investment, regeneration and growth.

Throughout UKREiiF, stand J20 will bring together political leaders, developers, investors, industry partners and universities from across Lancashire for conversations focused on investment, delivery and long-term growth.

Visitors to the stand will be able to explore opportunities across:

  • Advanced manufacturing and industrial expansion
  • Defence and national security
  • Nuclear and clean energy
  • Cyber, AI, innovation and digital infrastructure
  • Enterprise zones and strategic employment sites
  • Commercial development and regeneration
  • Inward investment and supply chain growth

Lancashire is home to one of the world’s largest aerospace clusters, nationally significant nuclear capability and a manufacturing economy central to the UK’s industrial future. The county is also emerging as a major location for cyber, AI and sustainable digital infrastructure investment.

Strategic locations being showcased at UKREiiF include: Samlesbury Enterprise Zone, Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone and Silicon Sands, Preston Station Quarter, Blackburn Star Square and Innovation Quarter.

Stephen Atkinson, Chair of the Lancashire Combined County Authority said:

“Lancashire has always been a place that makes things, builds things and powers growth.

The industries driving the UK economy over the next decade are already here in Lancashire, from aerospace and defence to nuclear, cyber, AI and advanced manufacturing.

What makes Lancashire different is the combination of industrial heritage, innovation and ambition. We have world-class businesses, nationally important infrastructure and real opportunities ready for investment.

Alongside that, Lancashire offers the quality of place, talent and connectivity that businesses increasingly look for when making long-term investment decisions.

These are not distant plans. They are projects and partnerships already taking shape across Lancashire, backed by people and businesses with a track record of delivering at scale.”

The Lancashire Growth Plan sets out a long-term strategy focused on nationally significant sectors including defence and security, nuclear energy, digital and AI, and advanced engineering and manufacturing.

Delegates attending UKREiiF are invited to visit Invest in Lancashire at stand J20 to meet the team behind Lancashire’s growth plans, explore live opportunities and discuss future partnerships.
